‘I would love to live like a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding’

John O’Donohue – Unfinished Poem

Therapy offers a space to pause, make sense of what you are experiencing, and begin to move forward.

When something in our lives feels difficult or unclear, it can be hard to know how to respond or where to turn. At times, this may feel confusing, overwhelming, or stuck. Many of the struggles we carry in ourselves, our relationships, and our sense of intimacy and sexuality are expressions of something that has not yet been felt, understood, or given space.

I offer a calm and attentive space where you can meet yourself with honesty and care, and where new ways of relating to yourself and others can begin to emerge.

Individual Therapy

Couples Therapy

Hi, I’m David

I am a psychosexual and relationship therapist with a focus on trauma. I work with individuals and couples who want to understand themselves more deeply and find a different way of relating to themselves and others.

My approach is grounded in presence and shaped around what brings you to therapy. We begin with what is difficult or unclear for you, and how it is affecting your life and relationships. From there, we take the time to understand what sits underneath, including emotional patterns, past experiences, and the ways you have learned to cope or protect yourself.

Alongside conversation, we pay attention to your internal experience, including emotions and bodily sensations. This helps you notice what is happening within you, rather than being driven by it, and to develop a different relationship with your experience.

As this understanding deepens, change tends to emerge from within, leading to a more grounded and flexible way of relating to yourself, to others, and to the situations you face.

I use an integrative approach, drawing from different therapeutic perspectives and adapting the process to you. Over the past 16 years, I have supported a wide range of people through one-to-one therapy, couples work, group facilitation, and workshops. Before training as a therapist, I was in social services, supporting vulnerable adults, families, and professionals. This continues to inform my practice, keeping my approach grounded and attentive to each person’s experience.
